Dear Grown-Ups and Families,
Welcome to Art-O-Rama, the premier camp for budding young artists! We’re Ivory Wise and Jackie Daniels, Co-Directors of Art-O-Rama! We teach art at Hillside and Nishuane schools during the school year and have been running Art-O-Rama together for over a decade! We are very excited to get to know your children and help them explore the wonderful world of art!
A few reminders about Art-O-Rama: camp will take place at Hillside School in Room 209. The camp entrance is on Orange Road at Door K (entrance at Staff Parking Lot). Camp runs from 9 am to 3 pm - pick up and drop off will take place outside of Door K each day. You must sign your camper in and out of camp each day.
Keep in mind that this is ART camp, so dress your children appropriately for messiness! For safety reasons, refrain from wearing flip-flops or open toed shoes. We aim to complete two projects daily, however, that may vary based on the makeup and stamina of the group each day.
Campers need to bring lunch, snack, and water every day. Lunch is at 11:30 am and snack is at 2 pm. During lunch each day, we view a portion of a G rated movie (as voted on by the campers). We have bottle filling stations, so campers can bring a refillable water bottle to stay focused and hydrated.
Students have daily outdoor recess. Be sure that sunscreen and any other belongings (hats, sunglasses, etc.) are labeled with your camper’s name. Campers should also have a change of clothes, just in case. Please keep toys and other non-essentials at home.
