Dear Parents/Guardians:
Thank you for enrolling your child(ren) in Nishuane Summer Spectacular Camp (NSS). Summer will be here before we know it and excitement is in the air! We have designed fun filled days for your child(ren) and Nishuane Summer Spectacular promises to be a fantastic program! We’re celebrating 38 years of excellence, and ALL returning campers and new campers are welcome!
NOTICE:
NSS will take place at Hillside School this summer. - 54 Orange Rd, Montclair NJ 07042
To ensure that the program runs smoothly it is very important that you adhere to these directions:
- The ONLY door we will use to enter and exit the building is the cafeteria door located in the parking lot of the school.
- If your child(ren) are not feeling well, please keep them home.
- ALL children MUST be signed in and out daily, no exceptions.
- Pick up your children promptly in the afternoon. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
- Notify NSS Staff if someone other than you will be picking up your child(ren), OR of any changes in schedule.
- Please tell your children whether they are half day or full day, it is important that they know this information before coming to the program.
- Half-Day campers (1 pm), Full Day campers (5 pm), and Extended Day campers (6 pm) are ALL dismissed from the cafeteria door, located in the parking lot of the building. Please wait there for them. Prompt pick up is requested.
- To speed up moving from camp activities to the pool or sprinkler, we suggest that the children wear bathing suits/trunks underneath their clothing Monday through Friday. Please send your child(ren) with a towel and water shoes daily. Please pack a plastic bag for wet items.
- Pool passes must be obtained from: Montclair PRC, 219 N. Fullerton Ave., Montclair, NJ 07042. Non-Montclair residents must contact Ms. Madden at (201-694-1319) to purchase pool passes.
- All belongings should be clearly labeled and carried in a backpack or plastic bag.
- Half-Day campers need to bring a snack daily. The snack should be in a bag clearly labeled with a name. Nishuane Summer Spectacular does not provide snacks for the campers.
- Full-Day campers will need to bring two snacks and a lunch (lunches will be refrigerated). Please separate the snacks from the lunches. Nishuane Summer Spectacular does not provide lunch or snacks for the campers. Names should be on all bags.
-NSS does not provide lunch or snacks, however, meals will be available for ALL campers through the MPS Food Service Program (Details to follow).
- Please send your child(ren) to camp with plenty of water to keep them hydrated.
